PORTABLE X-RAY MACHINE & DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
We are so concerned about our patient’s well being and comfort that we were one of the first dental offices in San Antonio to have a portable xray machine. It’s portability and ease of operation makes it ideal to use on children and patients with limited mobility. No more having to relocate the patient to a different room to take a radiograph because the machine can be used anywhere in our office. We also use digital radiography computer imaging which uses up to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. A small sensor records the image of your teeth and sends it to a computer for immediate viewing. The result is a highly detailed image that can easily be enhanced to better diagnose dental concerns and determine the very best treatment for each case.
We use a painless and accurate laser cavity detection device called Diagnodent. It allows us to detect cavities on the most susceptible surfaces of the teeth that would have otherwise gone undetected by conventional methods. The laser is easy to use, harmless, and will alert us with an audible signal if it detects a cavity. It will even approximate the size of the cavity so that we can better plan treatment. By using this device, you can rest assured that cavities will be accurately detected and treated in their infancy.
We are a digital (paperless) dental office. This means that all patient x-rays and charting can be recorded and viewed from any computer in the dental office. We use a HIPAA compliant computer security system for the safety of patient information.
ELECTRONIC CLAIM PROCESSING
Our office utilizes electronic claim processing. All insurance claims are sent electronically to your insurance company with the click of a button. Information is securely submitted for faster and more efficient claim processing. This benefits our patients because fewer claims are returned or denied. We are happy to submit your dental claims to your insurance company on your behalf.
We use small cameras about the size of a pen, called intraoral cameras, to help clearly see and record the condition of your teeth and gums. With this advanced technology we can zoom in on small diseased areas, cracks, chips and worn fillings. By displaying images on our computer screens patients will be able to see exactly what the dentist is seeing and gain a better understanding of dental procedures being performed.
All dental procedures are performed with LED magnified surgical loupes. These powerful glasses allow the dentist to see fine details that would go unnoticed to the naked eye.
